SUNY College of Optometry:
McKissack provided construction management services for three projects at SUNY College of Optometry: (1) the rehabilitation of research floors 16 & 17, which included a new fire sprinkler system (2) the rehabilitation of electrical systems, which included the replacement of electrical systems in the 18-story building, asbestos abatement of the entire sub-basement and roof areas, delivering a 750Kw diesel generator on the roof and (3) the rehabilitation of the school’s Lecture Hall, which included the demolition of the old lecture room and build-out of a new room in an occupied building, which included fire sprinkler systems.
McKissack’s scope of services included construction administration, supervision of construction ensuring conformance to contract documents, coordinating phasing of construction activities to avoid or minimize disruption to school activities, preparing daily reports, providing change order estimating, review, negotiation and recommendation, maintaining project logs (i.e. change orders, RFIs, shop drawing), reviewing the contractors requests for payment and making recommendations based on completed work, providing punch list management, and project closeout.
