McKissack provided construction management services for the Barclays Center NYC Transit subway connection in Brooklyn, NY. The connection was built to enable direct access from the new arena to the subway lines serving the Atlantic Avenue stop. These included the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, M, N, Q, and R subway lines. McKissack coordinated the efforts of all contractors and served as the liaison between NYC Transit and the project. A key aspect of the project was ensuring subway service was uninterrupted during all phases of work. Construction took place over a span of two years and was completed in time for the opening of the new Barclays Center in September of 2012.
