On-Call Project Management/Construction Management Services, Philadelphia International Airport:
McKissack, as part of a team, is providing On Call Project Management/Construction Management services for construction projects at Philadelphia International Airport and Northeast Philadelphia Airport. McKissack provided construction management/inspection services for the Terminal A West (Section 3) Explosive Detection System Recapitalization Project, which includes a new Checked Baggage Inspection System in Terminal A West. The project includes building a 2,500 square foot building as an annex to the existing terminal. The Checked Baggage Resolution Area (CBRA) construction includes site work, demolition of existing concrete pavement, placement of piles and pile caps ,construction of masonry walls and precast roof panels, installation of roofing and application of interior finishes. In addition other work includes modifications to A West Ticket Lobby entrance to accommodate the replacement of explosive detection machines by the TSA, expansion of existing Sector 23 Control Room. McKissack oversaw (4) $2 Million On-Call Contracts.
Project Details
McKissack staff worked closely with Project Managers on the Airport’s Capital Projects, including most recently the Service Animal Relief Area, the Quiet Room, Mamava Pods, Asbestos Abatement, and AED ADA compliance. McKissack provided inspections for several projects under this contract, including the following: American Airlines (AA) Re-branding and Refresh, Subway Restaurant, three restaurants in Terminal, Airport-wide Comcast Network – New WIFI/mobile/TV system throughout the airport, and Terminals A-F- Renovations, which renovations to kiosks, ticket counters, and Terminal D&E restaurant and retail spaces, including California Pizza, Chickie & Pete’s and Hudson News.
