BoBCAT’s 4th Annual Golf Outing
Cheryl McKissack Daniel to Receive 2026 Humanitarian Award
For five generations, the McKissack family has built the physical infrastructure of American cities — schools, courthouses, transit systems, the institutions communities depend on. On July 21, Dr. Cheryl McKissack Daniel, President & CEO of McKissack & McKissack, will be recognized for building something else: pathways into skilled trades careers for the next generation of New Yorkers.
Cheryl will receive the 2026 Humanitarian Award at the Borough of Brooklyn Center for Arts & Technology’s (BoBCAT) 4th Annual Golf Outing, Dinner & Awards Reception, held at Eisenhower Park Golf Course’s White Course in East Meadow, NY.
The honor marks five years of BoBCAT’s work preparing Brooklyn residents for careers in construction and the skilled trades. In that time, the organization has interviewed more than 725 candidates, placed nearly 85 into the BuildingWorks Carpentry pre-apprenticeship program, sent 50 into the carpenters’ union, graduated its first class of HVAC trainees, sent at least five graduates to college, and helped generate an estimated $3 million in annual family income for its graduates.
Cheryl will be honored alongside Dr. Albert Granger, Principal of Premier Endodontics of Long Island, recipient of the 2026 Beacon Award, and BoBCAT graduate Mohammed Awal Abdul Nasir, recipient of the 2026 Inspiration Award. Charles Coleman, Esq. will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
The afternoon includes registration and golf beginning at 12:30 PM, followed by a cocktail hour and a three-course dinner and awards program starting at 6:30 PM. For those who’d rather skip the course, a dinner-only ticket is available for $175, including a three-course meal and open bar.
Support for BoBCAT can take several forms:
- Register to golf (includes dinner)
- Register for dinner only
- Sponsor the outing or a single hole
- Reserve a foursome through one of BoBCAT’s sponsorship tiers
All registration and sponsorship details are available at birdease.com/34575.
